My Team Event

Hi All,

Jus’ celebrated our Team Event, would like to share with you the kind of fun we had. So heres’ how it went.

After days of slogging n’ hard work, we finally succeeded in delivering a clean iteration to our clients. Of course, as you would all agree, this called for a celebration. Every one needed a break n’ we had a reason to party as well. So, finally after convincing the seniors, we finally got consent to have one.Everybody had his/her thinking cap and started looking for a cool way to celebrate the work we had delivered. Though it may sound an ordinary one, we decided to go Odyssey. Though planning was fun but that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Finally the day arrived and Odyssey had the honor of hosting our Team Event. We reached our destination on time and things started with starters and drinks. The ambience was good and after settling down, I announced that we will be playing a game. As the word "GAME" came out, everybody got excited and was curious to know the game. The game involved everybody picking up a chit n’ yes you’ve guessed it right, perform the activity that was written, but no you guessed it wrong, it was to be done along with the guy/ gal sitting next to you.The most daring girl in our project, Ratika volunteered and she picked a chit from the pool. She was to have her hair plated by the person sitting next to her and in Ratika's case it was Priyanka.Phew! The pair seemed to enjoy the task. Now it was turn of the next person, and he was none other than Ashish.Hell! He got the task to seduce the person sitting next to him and he was none other than Shahid.

Than one after another everybody got a task to perform, along with his/her partner. Other interesting tasks were lifting the person sitting next to you, making a figure on the face of a person, team asking the person three questions on any topic and proposing the person sitting next to you.Ya Ya, we had a winner also. Winner was the unanimously chosen Rajdeep, for the way he proposed Ratika. After the game we got set to 'burn the dance floor'.

But there, a twist in story was awaiting our way. Club staff said we will have to cough extra money to make it to the dance, though he had earlier agreed on a complementary entry to dance floor. Couldn’t help convincing those flunks, decided to let go of dance.I thought, now it would be interesting as we didn't know what will happen next. Once we thought of going for a movie, other moment we thought we will go mojo and will do the dance there. But finally we settled for punjabi khaana and took the dinner to further break the ice between team members. Now it was the turn of our very own bubbly, Priyanka. She was on everybody gun-point of questions. In the candid conversation, she revealed her crushes in our team area. I guess, everybody along with Priyanka enjoyed it. Finally, after all the fun we decided to go home and enjoy the weekend waiting for us with the arms wide open.

Power of Writing

Uhh..This one is after a long time. Writing, I feel is one of the most powerful tool of educated and high intellect people. All the great souls in our world have been writer in one form or another. It been one of the strong medium/ways to promulgate one's ideas and influence others psyche and thought process. People, who do exceptionally good in their field, write their thoughts in books, which help in preserving ideas/knowledge and help the general public know the secret of their success. It is because of the writing prowess of our ancestors that beautiful scriptures like Ramayana and Upanishad’s are still available in this so called KALYUG. But now days, some are taking a bit easy route and are going for still or moving pictures in place of writing. Agreed, a picture is equal to thousand words, but writing has its own charm and will continue to enjoy the same in near future.
Sounding a bit contrary to my above statement, I feel writing in form of blogging, diary writing or some other ways, is still alive in general public. In this world of technology where people spend a lot of time in front of their PC, people have started writing on the computer itself rather than paper. After I started blogging, I found writing acting as a conduit to move/express one's ideas to the outside world. It allows one to do introspection and to a small extent increases one's self-awareness. Diary writing is another form in which a layman becomes a writer. As our memory is short lived, it helps one to preserve his/her good and not so good experiences of life.
Also, we should not forget to thank people who took the pain in writing these beautiful and informative books (for whatever reason), which have helped us to augment our knowledge and live a civilized life. I would also like to add that writing, as it is very powerful tool and especially the text books which everybody reads irrespective of one's interest, should not go in hands of extremists. I feel, textbooks influence large number of people at a time when children are generating their thought process. They shape the future of a country. It is in contrast to non-text books, which are automatically ignored or go down the ladder if a particular standard is not maintained.
So friends, after reading the above text you would have inferred that I am in favour of writing.Maybe you guys can also start writing, if you are not doing currently.Cahloo bye for now. Hopefully will make the next entry soon.Byeeee.
