Who will be next President?
Who will be the next President,The First Citizen of India.Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam will be finishing his five years tenure in the month of july,2007.A great technocrat and a nice human being. His tenure created a new benchmark for the role of President Of India.
Though everybody knows that he is highly intellectual person and India needs a visionary person like him to take India forward and to carry forward the vision to develop India into a knowledge superpower and a developed nation by 2020.But he is unlikely to get another five years to serve as The President Of India. Politicians are averse to people like him who talk sense and want a politician like them to be a President.
UPA and the Congress, its main constituent, does not want him to be back into the office.Kalam opposed the office of profit bill and asked the ruling party to rethink on that. Also, after Mayawati has come out as the winner with absolute majority in the UP and the chances of a dalit President is high.I recently read in an article that NDA is also not supporting him ,who bought up his name for the same post and supported him last time.
Though i am not totally against the change in the guards but the person who comes in place of him should be a visionary and should be able to meet the expectations of the people of this country, whose expectations have been set high by the current office bearer.
So being optimistic, which i am always, the new President Of India, whether politician, will carry forward the name of the country and vision of making India a superpower by 2020 with same zeal and enthusiasm as our current office bearer.

A nice one again...
I guess Abdul Kalam had a good tenure as the President.. but I personally feel he couldn't make much of an impact..
I guess maybe a guy who is more ENERGETIC preferabbly with some exposure to Politics/ leading some major organization and HAS NO CRIMINAL RECORD should make a good President for India...
Thought my Personal opinion says some Ex- Army Chief should be given such an appointment. He would definitely be able to strengthen the Armed Forces and help make India a Super - Power.. somethig we peolpe thought Kalma could do ...:):)
you have written a very nice article. But you never decided on the date for coffee.
am dying to meet you.. you seem pretty interesting
Luv n' Kisses
