Bicycle

Bicycle, which was one of the commonly used transport two or three decades back, has gone completely out of the picture from the Indian roads. Now a days nobody uses a bi-cycle to move around. Now,only small children in first or second standard do cycling. After that nobody, whether young or old, wanna use bicycle.Once having a chat with my father's uncle, he told me that he got a bi-cycle from his inlaws when he got married. But now, four wheeler is the new norm.

It is one of the good exercises that can be done easily without much of an effort. Most of the well-to-do families do cycling only inside a gym or in the comfort of their house or a lawn.A bicycle is used as a transport only by poor guys and mostly by the people working in small manufacturing factories. One may think as to why this guy is talking about a bicycle here. Today, when i was on my way to office i found a flurry of bicycles coming, when there was a red light. Most of the people on the two wheels were workers in nearby factories.

Bicycle,I think is one of the cheapest and pollution free form of transport. Also,it keeps one fit and is a good exercise.Though a bit self-contradictory ,I think that the use of bicycle may not be conducive to today's life-style.In this fast moving world and era of technology, everybody wants things to be quick.Everyone wants to avail the luxury provided by technology.Even if one look at the roads, most don't have any bi-cycle lanes. So,guys my advice is,if bi-cycle suits you, make use of it,though I myself have not yet decided that i should buy a bi-cycle or not.Byeee.Cya.Ta-Ta.

I agree with you in saying that 'Bicycle is the
cheapest and pollution free form of transport' which should be used whenever feasible.
Also India can build some lanes for bicycles like countries like Japan have for safety of bicycle riders.

Hey...

My new year resolution is - wipe off my Trax Dual action bike aka cycle and make the most of it.

It has become a mere dress hanger rather than a utilitarian unit !

Thanks for awakening me.
